Play Lottery

February 15, 2012 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Gambling
Just about every country in the world has its own version of the lottery and in the USA alone there are dozens of different rules depending on whether you play a state lottery or the national lottery. This article will list the common rules that exist for most versions of the lottery. Most states impose a minimum age limit on players, ranging from 16 to 21.
The game begins when the player receives a lottery ticket or slip. In some instances, a board may be used. We’ll imagine that the player is using a ticket in these instructions. The ticket will have rows or columns of boxes containing numbers from 1 through 49.
The player needs to choose six numbers between 1 and 49 and mark their choices on the ticket, usually by putting a cross through the number. In some versions of the game, multiple sets of numbers can be used at once. A common alternative to this routine is to have the numbers chosen at random by the computer. This saves the player time and is useful for those who suffer from indecision!

Players should make sure that all the other information on the ticket is filled in, including name and address and the type of game, or ‘draw’, being played. In some instances, players may be able to choose to play the same numbers for multiple weeks. The choices really do vary from game to game so players need to carefully read through all of the given information when making their decision.
Once the ticket has been completed, players need to hand it in to their retailer or put it through a terminal device themselves. A printout will be handed back containing the player’s selections; the most important thing for the player now is remembering to check his or her numbers when the draw comes up. Every year millions of dollars go unclaimed in lottery games, so remember first and foremost to keep your ticket safe and claim any prize within six months or a year, depending on the regulations!
If three or more numbers in the draw match those on your ticket, you’ve won a prize. Three, four or five number matches offer small to substantial winnings; five numbers plus the bonus offer a reward much greater, whilst matching six numbers means you’ve won the jackpot. If more than one person matches the six numbers then the prize will be shared equally between the winners.

Let it Ride Poker

January 12, 2012 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Gambling, Poker tips
The chance to win big. The possibility of luck being on one’s side. The sheer thrill of making a gamble. These are three things that a game of Let It Ride Poker can guarantee. Unlike casino games that seem to rely solely on good fortune, this variation of poker requires deft skill and brains to actually win. So while lady luck may smile on a player for a few rounds, it will ultimately boil down to a test of wits.
While Let It Ride Poker is a single player game and has been considered as a game for smaller monetary bets, it never lacked in the excitement factor. This is because unlike other card games wherein it is required to increase the amount of the bets, Let It Ride Poker actually allows the player to reduce his bets when he feels like it. The player has full control of the game, thus making winning – or losing – entirely in his hands.
Let It Ride Poker is played on a blackjack-sized gaming table. Prior to the start of the game, the player is required to make three bets in equal amounts. After making the bets, he is given three cards that are dealt face down. After this, two other cards (called “community cards”) will also be dealt face down at the top of the table. The goal of the game is to create the strongest hand of poker possible.
After the five cards have been dealt out, the player can decide whether or not to let his cards ride or if he wants to pull them out. Letting it ride means that he believes that his cards have the possibility of forming the strongest poker hand while pulling them out means removing one of his three bets from the playing table. After the decision has been made, the dealer then turns one of the community cards up and gives the player the option to remove his second bet. It should be noted that the second bet is not dependent on the first bet. The second community card is turned over after this round and with all the five cards opened, the player’s win is determined. This is done through the “payoff” square of the betting table.
Let It Ride Poker also has a special feature called the “Side Bet”. Through this feature, the player can have additional winning combinations when he places a $1 bet on the “Side Bet Playoff” square.

Let’Em Ride Poker

December 29, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker tips

Online poker is becoming increasingly popular among players and online gamblers all over the world. Most of them are in favour of Texas Hold’em. Another exciting variation of poker shall be explained in detail below though.

Let ‘Em Ride poker is a variation of poker with the exception that the player solely plays against the house and thus does not compete against the dealer or other players. The player is dealt three cards and the dealer is dealt two. Using all five cards the objective of the poker game is to get any winning poker hand consisting of a pair of 10′s or higher. After placing the ante bet, the player receives three cards face up, while the dealer receives two cards face down. Then the player decides whether or not he wants to raise the original bet, by the same amount as the original bet, or continue without a raise to the next round of play.
Once the player decides to raise or continue, the dealer’s first card will be shown. Now the player has yet another opportunity to raise or continue. If he decides to raise, the bet will again increase by the original bet amount. After the player raises or continues, the dealer’s second, last card is shown. The player’s hand is evaluated as a normal poker hand, after the dealer’s last card is shown, combining the player’s three cards and the dealer’s two cards. If the player has a pair of tens or any higher winning poker hand, the player wins. And otherwise the player loses.
Finally the question arises whether it makes sense to study reactions or habits of all players at the table to make a more or less informed decision. A decision that normally constitutes itself in a bet, raise, reraise, check or fold.
No, it does not. Remember only one player is involved in Let ‘Em Ride Poker games. One needs to emphasize this once again as many people still only associate poker with Texas Hold’em.

Play Better Poker

November 25, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker tips
Jacks or Better is a variation of five-card draw poker. You can learn how to play Jacks or Better easily if you already know the rules of poker. If you don’t, learning how to play Jacks or Better is a great introduction to the game. Though draw poker variations are not popularly played in Las Vegas, you can find many internet casinos offering games like Jacks or Better. Would you like to learn how to play Jacks or Better?
The hand ranking in Jacks or Better is the same as standard poker; with the exception that the lowest winning hand possible is a pair of jacks or better–hence the name of the game. The first step in learning how to play Jacks or Better is to memorize the rank of hands. A Royal Flush, which consists of sequential cards of the same suit from Ten through Ace, is the highest possible hand. In descending order from the Royal Flush, they are: Straight Flush (any five cards of the same suit in sequential order); Four of a Kind (four same-value cards, such as four 3’s or four 9’s); Full House (three same-value cards plus a pair of another value card); Flush (five cards in the same suit, no particular order); Straight (five cards in sequential order, non-matching suits); Three of a Kind (three same-value cards and two unmatched cards); Two Pair (any two sets of same-value cards); Pair (Jacks or better: any pair of Jacks, Queens, Kings or Aces). When you learn how to play Jacks or Better, you can play just about any other variation of poker.
If you’re just starting out at poker, learning how to play Jacks or Better is a good way to get to know the game because it’s easier to get a high hand than it is in the more common stud poker varieties. In Jacks or Better, the game starts out with each player being dealt a face-down five-card hand. Players then keep as many or as few cards as they believe will make a good final hand and discard the rest. A second round is then dealt so that each player has five cards again. One strategy for how to play jacks or better is to know which cards to keep from the initially dealt hand. You should generally keep cards that would contribute to a good hand; for instance, a pair of Jacks or better; or three same-suit or sequential cards that might add up to a flush or straight.
Once you know how to play Jacks or Better, you can move on to other forms of poker. Jacks or Better is one of the easiest variations of poker to master, and knowing how to play Jacks or Better can help you hone your poker skills. Good luck in the game!

Five Card Stud Poker

October 19, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker tips

Five Card Stud is similar to Five Card Draw, the difference being that you do not ever get a chance to replace cards in your hand and therefore do not get a chance to improve that hand. As in Seven Card Stud you get a hole card and 4 open cards for all to see. Most versions play the final card as a community card. Since there is no chance to improve your hand, the winning hands tend to be either pairs or high cards and it is hard to string people along to the final street. Some variations on Five Card Stud alleviate this by making the last card a pocket card allowing for some raises.

The hand starts with the dealer handing each player 2 cards. First cards dealt are a hole card and then the dealer follows up with an open card for each player. Wagering then begins, usually with the high open card going first and then following clockwise. This continues until betting is over. These are the first two “Streets”.
The dealer then hands out a third card, which is another open card. This is followed by another round of betting. Betting begins again with the highest open card opening and continues until there are no more bets made. Then it is time for the Fourth Street. Again the dealer hands out an open card, which is then followed by another round of betting. Betting again continues until all call and then it is on to the Fifth Street.
The Fifth Street is the final card. Usually this is an open card but some variations play this as a hole or pocket card to make the game more interesting. This variation creates more uncertainty about which cards your opponent’s hole cards could be and allows for more interesting betting opportunities. Bluffs and more creative betting make this variation more interesting than four straight open cards.
Another variation is to have both the first and second cards remain hole cards, for much the same reasons as making the fifth card a hole card. The problem with having only the first card as a hole card is that even beginning players get a feel for the odds of any particular player having a better hand than theirs, based on their open cards. Therefore it is difficult to have an interesting hand of cards as betting tends to be rather a bit more conservative as a result.

If you roll 7 again before rolling the point number, you lose.
Players can make additional bets in addition to the first bet, a move that is known as the odds bet. This means that the casino loses the usual house edge and the game begins to be played on real odds, versus an edge one way or another.

Play Chuck-A-Luck

August 12, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Gambling
Gambling is defined as playing games of chance or skill, especially when money or anything else of value is wagered on the outcome, or betting money or valuables on an event of any kind. Though Chuck A Luck appears as a harmless dice game, it still is a form of gambling as the outcome is based on chance and bets represent money. If you intend to enjoy playing the game and hope to do some winning, it would do well to learn the art of gambling.
It is a fact that certain games played mainly in gambling casinos such as slot machines have the odds arranged to favor the house, which results in the players losing more than winning in the long run. No betting system that purports to guarantee winning ever made a dent in any casino.
In gambling, one should be prepared to lose. It is a good practice not to over-bet beyond one’s entertainment money and to refrain from making side bets. One would fare better in trusting the odds rather than feelings or hunches. Good gambling etiquette does exist and respect is expected from all players. Gambling debts should always be honored.
Chuck A Luck is a dice game where the basic object is to tumble three dice in a cage and bet on how they will land once the cage comes to a stop. There are four different ways of making bets in casinos and these are ‘any number’, ‘field’, ‘over 10’ and ‘under 11’. The winning procedure for ‘any number’ is the one described above. A ‘field’ bet is betting that all dice will add up to one of the numbers featured on the field. An ‘over 10’ and ‘under 11’ bet means betting that the sum total of the dice will be greater than 10 or less than 11 respectively.
The Chuck A Luck table placement, whereby players stand up to play, is meant to encourage betting once or twice instead of playing for an extended period of time. Moving and altering bets are allowed until the “No More Bets” sign appears, at which point all bets stand as they are. More modern versions of Chuck A Luck are the ‘Big Six’ and ‘Crown and Anchor’.

Caribbean Stud Poker

July 18, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker tips
Caribbean Poker, often called Caribbean Stud Poker, started gaining popularity on cruise ships and later on in South Pacific clubs. It made it’s way to Vegas casinos quickly and is now a very popular game at casino all over the world. Caribbean Poker is dead easy to learn, and is very similar to 5-card stud. Needless to say, most online casinos offer a variation of Caribbean Stud Poker, and some even have a progressive jackpot attached to the game.
The game starts with an ante bet from each player seated at the table (typically up to 6 players are seated at a table). The antes will vary at online casinos. Each player is dealt five cards, face up, and the dealer also received five cards but only one is turned face up. Now each player can make a bet, depending on their hand. This is referred to as the “call bet”. The table will have a maximum you can bet. You may also elect to surrender, in which case you lose your ante bet.
Once you have decided to call, the dealer turn over their cards. The dealer has to qualify, meaning he has to hold an Ace-King combination or better. In the case of the dealer not qualifying, you win the ante bet, but your call bet is simply return4ed to you.
If the dealer in fact qualifies, it becomes a simple showdown for the best hand. If your hand wins with a pair, you get paid even money on your ante bet. If you win with a hand better than a pair, you get paid a multiple of your call bet, based on a game payout table. The better your hand on the rankings, the higher your payout. Always remember that if you elected to not call, you will lose the ante.
Caribbean Stud Poker is a lot of fun to play, and very popular. Be aware that the house edge on this game is around 5.22% which is higher than blackjack but much lower than many other casino games.

Play Blackjack

June 18, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Blackjack
Whether you call it Pontoon, 21, or an investment. Blackjack is easy to learn and even easier to play. The aim of Blackjack is to accumulate a winning hand of 21, or as close to 21, without going over (bust.) That’s all there is to it. No flushes, straights or trying to outsmart the other players, who, like you, are all just trying to beat the Blackjack dealer.
Despite its simplicity (Blackjack is truly accessible to all); some players inevitably try to complicate Blackjack. For all the talk of systems and odds, all you need to know is how to win and how to avoid losing! Here’s how it works: Two cards are dealt to every player and play moves from the dealers left – each participant elects whether to hit (take another card,) stand (play with the cards they were dealt,) or surrender, in which case they fold at the cost of half their original bet. Once all the participants have finished hitting, the dealer plays his hand and pays out to players who beat his score.
The good news is: Blackjack dealers are bound by the house rules; you’re not. For example, dealers stand on all 17’s. In other words, he’ll keep hitting until he reaches or exceeds 17. If he draws a king and a six, he’s bound by convention to play on, while you’ve got the get-out clause of an early surrender.
The best news is: in Blackjack, you can win big and win quickly. Blackjack is the name and the aim of the game. A Blackjack is a total of 21 in your initial deal; a picture card / ace combination. A blackjack can only be beaten by a dealer’s blackjack. Any other score of 21 just won’t cut it.
Blackjack is a truly elegant game: uncomplicated enough to engage players, but sufficiently captivating to keep them coming back – once you start playing Blackjack, you might just find you can’t stop. Blackjack is enjoyable, exhilarating, and instantly compelling. No wonder it’s played and enjoyed the whole world over.

Three poker tips

May 04, 2011 :: Posted by - admin :: Category - Poker tips

1. In Poker, decision making is very important.

It is commonly believed that by resorting to play poker onlinecontinuously one can break even. This however, is not possible and is easier said than done. There are many possibilities that may occur in the course of your play.

If you are playing regularly, your luck will change constantly. You might end up losing more than what you have been winning. On the contrary, you might sometimes be winning without gaining on much. The opponents that you might face may be weak or strong. You might have better wins with full houses in a small stake game or a big stake game. As these possibilities are very high, so are the chances of you being able to break even.

So, the obvious thing that one will get to know is that luck favors some people while others may not be so lucky. But, keeping luck aside, people still manage to win constantly in poker as poker is a game of skill and not dependent on luck alone. So, what is this skill we are talking about? It is good decision making. If you are good at making decisions, then you will not bother about your luck and will instead play a good game all the time.

With good decision making, you will not worry about trying to break even by losing out heavily one year and winning the same next year but will end up making good money one year where you are more lucky and end up winning lesser in a year where you have been unlucky.

2. Winners never bother about attempting to get even each day.

When you are playing poker by good decision making, you will concentrate on a big picture rather than trying to go behind an unnecessary and meaningless objective. So, you should not look at the overall wins that you have had and instead concentrate on how to improve your profits in the game.

Suppose you are playing a game and won $15,000, then lost $3000 and then again lost $1000 you still have won $11,000 despite having just one win and two losses. This is still a better scenario then winning $2,500 and then $1000 followed by another win of $3000 despite having three wins continuously, you just have managed to rake in $6500 in comparison to the $11,000 in the previous example.

So, what matters most is not the number of wins but good decision making to help you rake in a better profit.

3. Do not push bad to make it worse.

If you are playing and having a bad day, then many factors can come into play to make this bad day worse. Some such factors that can contribute to it could be lamenting on your losses, getting frustrated, losing temper, getting angry, etc. When such emotions come into play when you are having an already bad day, you will tend to lose out on your concentration and this will affect good decision making. You will only end up making your bad day worse and adding up to your woes.

So, when things are going wrong, it is essential to not let it affect you in anyway and avoid making bad things worse.
